Our Story

Three friends, one fermenter, and a country that runs on beer.

Sandport began as a question: could we brew something that felt Thai to its core but stood up at any craft bar in the world? We're still chasing that answer.

How It Started

A pilot system and a lot of ambition.

Sandport started small — a group of friends pooling savings for a brewhouse, fueled by a shared obsession with craft and a belief that Thai beer didn't have to mean mass-produced lager.

The first batch — a Mosaic-hopped lager they called Samakkee — sold out faster than they could brew the next one. That was the signal.

What Makes Us Different

We brew with character, not convention.

Every Sandport recipe starts with local Thai ingredients — lemongrass, makrut lime, mango, fresh market produce. We pair them with classic craft malts and our house yeast strain, giving every beer a flavour you won't find anywhere else.

The can design? That's us too. Hand-drawn characters, bold type, and a vibe that says "this beer doesn't take itself too seriously, but the brewing does."

The Sandport Timeline

How we got here.

2017

The first batch

A small pilot system goes online. Samakkee Lager sells out in days and the idea of "just a hobby" dies fast.

2019

The brewhouse

Sandport moves into its own facility with a proper brewing system and starts building a lineup beyond lager.

2021

National distribution in Thailand

Sandport beers reach craft bars in Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai — and the lineup grows to eight core beers.

2023

First export container

A 40ft reefer container of Samakkee Lager and Monsoon IPA departs Thailand bound for Long Beach, California.

2025

US growth

Distribution expands to Texas and New York, with Sandport now pouring at over 60 bars and bottle shops nationwide.

2026

What's next

New state launches, a barrel-aging program, and our first US-side taproom collaboration are all on the horizon.

Sustainability

Brewing responsibly.

Our cans are made from 70% recycled aluminum. Spent grain goes to local farms. We're not perfect, but we're paying attention — because a brewery should take care of the community it brews in.
